Experience Malawi

Students and interns can apply to participate on our Black Rhino Research project in Malawi. The project is located inside the Liwonde National Park and as a student or intern you’ll work one-on-one with the black rhino researcher and have the opportunity to track black rhino with the Rhino Protection team. Ideally we’d prefer the candidate to apply for an long-term internship period of a few months. The project is run in conjunction with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW).

Liwonde National Park is a national park in Malawi and is located in the southern region of the country. It’s a small, landlocked county in Southern Africa and has the well deserved reputation as being one of the friendliest and most diverse countries in Africa. The park is home to several species of antelope (impala, kudu, waterbuck, etc.), elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, hippopotamus and many other mammals. There are more than 400 species of bird found in this park.
