Nzuzo has been part of Wildlife ACT since 2018, beginning as a conservation ambassador before joining the team in 2021 as a Community Conservation Monitor within the Human-Wildlife Coexistence Programme. He works within the Candover community in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, playing a vital role in preventing and reporting human-wildlife conflict.
Nzuzo began his journey with Wildlife ACT in 2018 as a conservation ambassador with the Candover Community Ambassador Club. After showing great enthusiasm and promise, he joined the team in 2021 as a Community Conservation Monitor, taking on an important role within the Human-Wildlife Coexistence Programme.
Nzuzo is responsible for working within the Candover community in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, reporting any issues or concerns he encounters. His work plays a vital role in keeping both communities and the management authorities of nearby protected areas informed of potential human-wildlife conflict, helping prevent incidents before they escalate.
Drawing on his background through the Community Conservation Programme and Ambassador Clubs, he also shares his knowledge with community youth, helping them understand the importance of conservation and why protecting the environment and its resources matters for future generations.
Outside of work, Nzuzo enjoys spending time connecting with nature, exploring outdoor spaces, and continuously learning more about wildlife and conservation.
