
Sandra Parmee coordinates volunteer reservations and communications for Wildlife ACT, guiding applicants through the booking process and creating content that brings the organisation’s conservation work to a wider audience. A Bachelor of Journalism graduate from Rhodes University, she combines a strong writing background with a genuine passion for inspiring people to take meaningful conservation action.
Sandra Parmee is from Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal, and holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University, along with a PGCE in Foundation Phase teaching. Before joining Wildlife ACT, she gained experience in writing, marketing, and teaching, including time spent as an English language assistant abroad. Her career in her field began in 2014, and she joined Wildlife ACT in 2024.
As Reservations and Communications Coordinator, Sandra manages volunteer reservations and communications, responding to enquiries, guiding applicants through the booking process, and coordinating arrivals, departures, and project placements alongside the team on the ground.
She also creates content across blog posts, newsletters, and social media, manages online communities, and tracks performance metrics, with a particular focus on Wildlife ACT’s Endangered Species Conservation projects and the Southern Drakensberg project. She finds real fulfilment in guiding volunteers towards experiences she knows will be life-changing for them.
Outside of work, Sandra can be found jogging, doing yoga, reading, or spending time with her partner, dogs, friends, and family.
